GGYC has three memberships: regular, corinthian and associate.
Initiation and monthly rates:
Corinthian: $600/$75 (experienced sailors crewing on GGYC race boats)
Associate: $245/$45 (ages 19-29)
Introduction to Sailing (2 hrs)
New to sailing or looking to brush up on your skills before your next trip? Join one of the GGYC's instructors on the Cal 25 for a sailing lesson. Classroom instruction covers basic sailing theory, wind/current analysis, knot tying, rigging, docking and right-of-way rules. Sailing portion focuses on rigging, basic keelboat manuevers, right of way rules and docking.
Intro lesson $200/sailor.
Private lessons can be scheduled as individual or group. Private individual lessons are tailored to experience level, schedule and desired learning objectives. Private lessons are a great way to build confidence and acquire the necessary skills to become a certified GGYC skipper. If your friends are interested, a group lesson is a great way to learn about basic keelboat sailing as a team and enjoy the beauty of the San Francisco bay.
Private lesson - $100/hr
Group lesson (3 students) - $200/hr
Racing Lessons (3 hrs)
Join the racing action during a Friday Night Series (May-Aug) or Mid-Winter Series (Sep-Mar). Racing lesson includes classroom instruction focused on the US Sailing Racing Rules and Cal 25 or J22 on-water practice starts. The lesson culminates with students racing with a GGYC sailing instructor in a club race. Participants should already be comfortable with basic sailing techniques and concepts, since this lesson will focus on racing rules, tactics and strategy.
Racing lesson - $250/sailor
